Opening and closing times in Makkah and Madinah
Timings for the mosques, ziyarat places, services and transport. Where no official timing exists we say so and show how to check it live.
Information only. Rules, permits and timings change, so confirm with official sources and your scholar before you travel. We do not sell, book or guarantee anything.
Timings change by season, Ramadan, Hajj and prayer times, and special arrangements. Use these as a guide and confirm on the day. Times shown are local Saudi time.

Malls, shops, restaurants and pharmacies
- We did not find official opening hours for Makkah malls, so we do not publish them. Mall and shop hours vary by shop and season, and are longer in Ramadan.
- Every place in our directory opens in Google Maps with live hours and an open now status. We do not copy these hours because they change and belong to Google.
- Some shops pause around prayer time. Ask the shop or your hotel concierge.
Prayer times
Many timings depend on prayer times. Use our prayer times tool, and the Islamic dates page for Ramadan and Hajj.
