Food and grocery delivery apps in Makkah and Madinah
Which apps pilgrims use to order meals and groceries, and what to check before you order.
Information only. Rules, permits and timings change, so confirm with official sources and your scholar before you travel. We do not sell, book or guarantee anything.
Main food delivery apps
Keeta: has English and is a strong first choice for visitors. Registration with a foreign number may work, so test it first. Start with a small order, check every fee and save proof in case you need a refund.
HungerStation: reports more than 55,000 partners in more than 102 cities. It accepts cash on delivery, cards, STC Pay, Tabby and wallet balance, and also delivers groceries and pharmacy items. Some foreign numbers cannot register.
Jahez: has English and Arabic and covers more than 54 cities. Some Android users report crashes and payment problems, so confirm the order went through.
Ninja: lists more than 5,000 restaurants plus groceries, with English and card payment.
Mrsool and ToYou: other apps that deliver food, groceries and parcels.
Restaurant and store apps
Kudu app: order from the Kudu menu for delivery, store pickup, car pickup or dine in, with English and Arabic and a rewards program.
Panda app: the store listing describes shopping from the supermarket to your door. Check which delivery areas it covers.
Delivery near the Haram
Some travellers report that delivery to hotels in the central Haram area is blocked or impractical, while addresses farther out work better. Ask reception where couriers can reach, pin the accessible entrance and meet the courier in a staffed public area if needed.
Before you order
A data only eSIM cannot receive the SMS codes some apps need to register. Avoid a large first order. Keep screenshots of the basket, payment and order status, and do not pay twice if a card charge already shows. Uber Eats left Saudi Arabia in 2020.
If the app fails
Use the hotel meal service, pick up from a nearby restaurant, or ask reception to order for you. For well known chains such as Al Baik and Al Tazaj see the food guide. You can also eat in the malls, see our malls page and food guide.
